Dr. Roman Rozanov
I’m Dr. Roman Rozanov. I moved to Philadelphia in 1991 and started working as a dental assistant in one of the practices in Center City. Deciding to continue my dental career I was accepted to the prestigious University of Pennsylvania and earned a degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1997. Since then I have been practicing general dentistry in Center City Philadelphia. I chose general dentistry because I consider it the most challenging aspect of our profession and because it requires knowledge from all dental specialties.
To successfully meet the goals and mission of my practice, i have completed numerous continuing education courses throughout my years of practice. I have memberships with several dental organizations but one I’m especially proud of is my membership in the Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg, Florida. This was the place where I developed an understanding not only of teeth but also of the muscles and systems that control them. At the Academy, dental professionals like me learn to examine and treat teeth as part of the overall oral system, not just as stand alone elements. This approach helps dentists identify causes of problems rather than simply treating the symptoms.
My mission is very simple. It was expressed by the world-class restorative pioneer and educator Dr. L.D. Pankey: Our goal is to help patients to keep their teeth all of their lives, if possible……in maximum comfort, function, health and esthetics. I can not say it any better.
